Sixth Graders have been busy the first half of the year. They have learned about how the brain works when it is making art. We are trying to train our brains to tap into the right side of the brain when we are sketching or drawing.
We also spent several weeks working on a Social Studies connection. We studied Greek pottery shapes and purposes. We then used papier mache to create our own versions of a Greek urn. Students wrote myths that they illustrated on their vases. These are now being displayed in the MS Media Center.
We will soon be exploring the world of color.
