"Crab Walk, anyone?" Welcome everyone for an exciting year of “physicality”!

One Thing is clear kids are not learning to play basic ball games in their neighborhood communities anymore.  In PE we emphasize that it is how you play the game that matters.  We begin the year with cooperative games for community building in the classroom.  Then we go over fundamental skills needed for "diamond games" anything played on a baseball diamond; baseball, softball, kickball - and play lead up games for these sports.

Late in the fall we get into soccer skills and games, then basketball. After winter break there is  volleyball and the simple racket sport of Badminton.  We go over and reinforce the balance and weight transfer needed for basic tumbling and gymnastics.  All the while the emphasis is on sportsmanship, team and community within the class group.
